The castle of Thun
On the castle hill above the town, the imposing 12th century building is enthroned. It is only a few minutes' walk from the old town. From here you have a fantastic view over the city.

The "Mühleplatz"
The "Mühleplatz" on the Aare forms the heart of Thun. Numerous cosy cafés and restaurants invite you to linger and enjoy.

The Aarequai and Schadau Castle
The Aarequai is the main promenade in Thun. The beautiful path along the Aare and Lake Thun offers views of Schadau Castle. The enchanting 19th century castle resembles a fairytale palace.

The Beatus Caves
High above Lake Thun lie the St. Beatus stalactite caves. Inside the mountain you can experience the world of stalactite formations in halls, grottos and gorges. A fantastic experience!

The Sigriswil panorama bridge
At around 340 metres, the Sigriswil suspension bridge spans the Gummischlucht. You should be a little bit free from giddiness when crossing the bridge. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view of Lake Thun, the Niesen and the Stockhorn.
