Breakfast as a communal experience

Anything but a meager military breakfast awaits you at the Military Canteen in St. Gallen. There's no buffet; instead, the delights are served à la carte on stands at your table, making it easier to share and minimizing food waste. This turns breakfast into a small communal experience. If you're hungry, you can, of course, order more at any time. The hotel offers the well-known 'Zmorge' (breakfast) in various variations: simple, local, or oriental - on weekdays until 11 am, on Saturdays and Sundays until 3 pm. Hotel guests can add breakfast for CHF 18 per person.

In 2017, the Military Canteen was even awarded as the 'Historical Hotel of the Year.' Built in 1901, it served as officer accommodation back then. The restaurant operates in the former soldiers' room on the ground floor and expands around the chestnut garden in the summer. The entire house has been renovated but has retained its original charm.

Breakfast & Formula 1

The Hotel Meilenstein in Langenthal is worth a visit not only for its popular Sunday brunch at the Piazza restaurant. In the same building, alongside the rich buffet, you can also explore the aquarium as well as the car and Formula 1 museum - an experience for the whole family. Both are available free of charge for hotel guests. First, though, you can fill your stomach with various charcuterie and cheese platters, fruit salads, salmon, eggs cooked to your liking, rösti, bacon, rolls, salad buffet, and hot main courses. Every Sunday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, and for hotel guests, there is an additional charge of CHF 20.

Opulent Brunch experience at the Montreux Riviera

Upon entering the foyer of the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, you are greeted by the authentic smile of the porter. Amidst the columns on the upper floor, the bustling activity of the staff with their tall white chef hats is visible, passionately preparing for an opulent Sunday brunch.
