Zermatt this summer, offer like never before!

Have you long wanted to enjoy the view of the unmistakable Matterhorn? Then you have the opportunity this summer. Due to the still low number of foreign guests, our 10 partner hotels in Zermatt and Täsch are offering more rooms at a discount on hotelcard.com this year than ever before. While many hotels in Graubünden or Ticino are already fully booked in the summer months, as a Hotelcard member in Zermatt you will get your money's worth this year. And on top of that, you will support our local partners in a challenging time.

Keyword Matterhorn: Did you know that the mountain on your Hotelcard is the most photographed mountain in the world? No wonder! Anyone who has ever seen it in real life knows that something magical emanates from this mountain. But Zermatt has much more to offer than "just" the Horu (Valais German for Matterhorn). We show you what you should definitely not miss:

Gourmet Hotspot Zermatt

After the Federal Council decided that restaurants may reopen, gourmets will get their money's worth in Zermatt this summer.

The region below the Matterhorn is considered a hotspot for gourmets. A culinary and scenic highlight is the gourmet hike through the pretty mountain village of Findeln. There is hardly any other mountain village where the density of gourmet restaurants is as high as in Findeln. On the gourmet hike, you can indulge yourself from the aperitif over several courses to the dessert of more than 41 Gault Millau points.

Top destination for athletes

Did you know that the highest ski resort in Europe is located in Zermatt? It is also the only ski area in Europe that is open all year round. Skiers will also find a ski paradise here in summer. An alternative is water skiing. This is also possible on the Matterhorn. At the Schalisee in Täsch, you can whizz across the cool water on a wakeboard or water skis. Further information: Schali Lago

Of course, in and around Zermatt you will also find numerous fantastic hiking trails, exciting bike trails or thrilling via ferratas. Our tip: the Schweifinen via ferrata, high above the village. There are three different routes here. Route A is also suitable for families with children from the age of 10. However, you should be sure-footed and free from vertigo.

Mega holiday fun for families

Families love Zermatt and Zermatt loves families. The great variety of family-friendly excursion destinations and activities promises sensational holidays for the whole family.

What about a swim in the fresh, turquoise-blue Schalisee on a warm summer's day? Or would you prefer an exciting excursion into the Gornergrat Gorge? A path leads between rock faces on wooden walkways through the adventurous gorge.

Downhill riding on a dirt scooter promises even more action for older children. The off-road scooter takes them rapidly downhill. Families will certainly not be bored in Zermatt, as the range of unique activities is second to none.

Superlative ride on the Gornergrat Railway

Don't miss a ride on the Gornergrat Bahn – the highest outdoor rack railway in Europe. The views along the way are sensational. No fewer than 29 four-thousand-metre peaks can be marvelled at here. First and foremost, of course, the Matterhorn. The final station is the highest outdoor station in Europe.
